The Brief
Cynon Valley Pals is a community charity supporting children with additional needs and their families through inclusive play sessions, activities and events across the Cynon Valley and wider South Wales. The project focused on creating a new website that clearly communicates the charity’s purpose, supports engagement, and makes key information easy to access for families, volunteers and supporters.
The website needed to function as a central digital hub — showcasing activities, sharing updates, and providing clear pathways for getting involved or offering support. Accessibility, clarity and usability were key priorities, ensuring the site works well for a diverse audience across all devices. The end goal was a welcoming, easy-to-navigate charity website that reflects the organisation’s values and supports its ongoing work in the community.

Our Approach
The project began with collaborative planning to understand the charity’s audience, services and goals. This insight shaped a clear site structure and intuitive navigation, allowing users to quickly find session information, contact details and opportunities to engage.
Design focused on warmth, inclusivity and clarity. Alongside the website build, considered graphic design played an important role in shaping the overall look and feel. Colour, typography and visual elements were carefully selected to create a consistent identity that reflects the energy and impact of Cynon Valley Pals’ work. This cohesive approach ensures the website feels welcoming, recognisable and aligned across all digital touchpoints.
Strong calls to action, including Get Involved and Donate, are positioned throughout the site to support engagement while keeping the experience simple and accessible.
From a technical perspective, the website was built to be fully responsive, accessible and easy to manage. Content can be updated quickly, allowing the team to share news, promote events and keep families informed without technical barriers. The result is a modern, user-friendly charity website that strengthens Cynon Valley Pals’ digital presence and supports meaningful connections within the local community.
