What is a ‘Demo Kitchen’? 

At the most basic level a Demo Kitchen consists of equipment that enables a chef to demonstrate preparation, cooking and presentation of food to an audience.

How complex the set up is depends on each scenario. A simple set up could be one work surface, some lighting, a microphone, sound enforcement, cooking utensils and a gas or electric hob with an overhead mirror showing the surface to an audience.  A more complex set up could be a larger surface, branded backdrop, fridge, freezer, multiple induction hobs, microwave, high level oven, multiple radio mics, multiple cameras, multiple video screens mounted above and to the side of the chef, and even huge video walls to show to a large in-situ audience of hundreds. You can take the camera feed and then live stream to a worldwide audience.

Tantrwm’s  demo kitchens are custom designed after speaking with professional chefs about what they need. We found the main issue with other demo kitchens was poor sound quality and feedback. Mainly through the use of cheap audio equipment.

Using pro quality radio mics and speakers, we improve sound quality and get rid of feedback.
