GWR e-learn package for interview skills
The Brief
Great Western Railway (GWR) approached Tantrwm to create an e-learning solution designed to enhance their staff’s interviewing skills, with a particular focus on recognising unconscious bias and preventing discrimination during the recruitment process.
GWR needed a modern, engaging, and easy-to-use training platform that would empower their interviewers to conduct fair, inclusive, and professional interviews across all settings.
They required a fully integrated e-learning course that combined interactive learning, custom multimedia content, and measurable outcomes to ensure both high engagement and long-term knowledge retention.
Our Approach
At Tantrwm, we understand the ins and outs of designing, developing, and deploying effective e-learning experiences. Our team built GWR’s training using Articulate Rise, a flexible, industry-standard platform that allows for modular course design, responsive layouts, and seamless learner navigation.
The course was structured around key themes such as unconscious bias, effective communication, and equality and diversity in recruitment. Each section included interactive exercises, scenario-based activities, and real-world examples to encourage reflection and reinforce best practices.
Technically, we ensured the course was SCORM-compliant, allowing it to integrate effortlessly with GWR’s Learning Management System (LMS). This ensured smooth tracking of learner progress, performance analytics, and completion data — giving GWR full oversight of participation and results.
By combining technical expertise, creative storytelling, and instructional design best practice, Tantrwm delivered a comprehensive, interactive e-learning course that successfully engaged GWR’s staff and strengthened their approach to fair, consistent, and inclusive interviewing.
