Management Fundamentals - A custom made training programme for the NHS delivered by Imperial College Business School
The Brief
Imperial College Executive Education want to promote the fact that they will design bespoke training programmes for organisations that are tailored to their individual needs.
As part of this, they are creating a landing page on their website that features videos demonstrating the benefits of this approach.
These videos focussed on a leadership and management programme run for NHS clinicians who were making the leap from junior doctor to consultant.

Our Approach
So early on we decided that we would tell the story entirely from the perspective of NHS workers. We interviewed consultant clinicians who had completed the programme in previous years to explore the positive impact it had on their lives, and senior NHS leaders about how the programme is delivering for the Trust and their patients.
It was important that the story we told related to people outside the NHS and that they were able to see how a similar approach could help them. To achieve this we looked for themes that would be applicable across sectors.
This included staff retention, the difficulty of moving from a hands-on role to management and how to drive service improvement. Each of these are acute challenges for the NHS but are also relevant to many other industries.

Visually, we wanted the videos to reflect Imperial’s brand as a forward-looking, institution that offers world-class expertise. So our interviews are interspersed with b-roll of the programme being delivered in their bespoke Exec Ed spaces and timelapse of the campus.
