Using intelligent lighting techniques and carefully planning camera angles we’re able to create a wide variety of spaces and decorate them with props and other complimentary artefacts.

When Would I Need Set Design? 

Set design is needed if any of the following reasons apply to you:

• When a real-life location doesn’t exist or would be too expensive to access (e.g inside an airplane or high-tech laboratory).
• In situations where our crew need full control over lighting and sound, eliminating external interference from things such as road traffic or changing weather and lighting conditions.
• Maybe your shoot is over a number of days or even weeks? Hiring a functional location could prove expensive, not to mention time consuming when setting up, wrapping down and transporting equipment each day. A studio-set allows our team to keep the lighting and equipment set-up and unaltered for long periods of time at a minimal cost.
• For more experimental and surrealist productions that may not be trying to create a ‘realistic’ space at all. For example, music video production often requires a lot of dynamic and surrealist lighting/backdrops, as well as smoke machines and large equipment rigs that would be unsuited to real-world locations.

Our contracted set-design experts are able to plan, design and build any custom filming space. Our creative director liaises with the set-design team to produce an area which is convincing, easy to work around and cost-effective to create.
