Compose yourself!
When filming an interview it is important that you get the eye line of the interviewee correct. By eye line we mean where they are looking in relation to the camera.
You should frame them to one side of the screen and have them looking across camera. The best way to do this is for you to sit next to the camera on the opposite side of the lens to your interviewee. Don’t sit too far from the lens though or your subject will be almost in profile, which doesn’t look great. Compose yourself!
