Content

£210.00

Once the structure of your website has been built you’ll need to fill it with cool content.

For £175 we’ll create up to 15 pages, with you providing all of the content.

Content generally falls into 3 categories:

  1. Written content
    • That’s stuff like the words you are reading now, text that populates the pages.
  2. Imagery
    • This includes photographs, illustrations and logos you want on your website.
  3. Miscellaneous
    • Here we are talking about videos, PDFs, Google Maps or social media feeds.

Now we’ll break down the sort of thing you’ll need to supply us with for each category.

Written Content

Each of the main pages where you are explaining what your company does and how good it is at doing it should contain approximately 300 words.

This may seem like a lot, but 300 words is the sweet spot for good SEO and user engagement.  Significantly less and you aren’t explaining yourself adequately and the page will look a bare.  Significantly more is going to be too much for a user to take in and mean most people will skip over your page without reading it.

That said, there are exceptions.  A Contact Us page, which includes your address and phone number doesn’t need 300 words.  And if it’s good, engaging content then it’s fine to break the 300 rule (although don’t stray too far over, maybe think about dividing reams of words up over a few pages).

You also want to keep SEO in mind when coming up with your written content, key word loading where necessary.  We explain more on what this means in our SEO package.

We require that written content be sent to us in a digital format (like a MS Word doc or in an email), clearly indicating which content goes on what page.  We’ll then copy and paste this content into the website, so your text should be checked for spelling and grammar with proper paragraphs and line breaks.

If you find it difficult supplying us with the written content then you might want to take us up on our Copywriting package.

Tantrwm has a long history of working in the Welsh language, and if you need your website to be bilingual then we can take care of the translation for you.  See our Translation package for more details.

Imagery

Photography

The biggest factor between having an inviting, modern and clean looking website and not is the quality of the photos and how they are presented.

Photos can be displayed in a variety of ways, from a slider to a gallery.  And nice, professional looking pictures will set your website apart.

Illustration

Some businesses find it hard to use photographs to explain what they do.  If this is the case you may decide to go with illustration.  Good illustration can be equally as powerful as good photography, particularly if the style fits in well with your brand.

Logos

Speaking of your brand, your logo is a crucial feature of your website.  And you may want to show off your clients logos or organisations you are affiliated with or funded by.

If you are a new company without a logo or maybe you’ve grown bored of your current logo and would like a re-design, then you’ll like the look of our Logo Creation package.

All imagery will need to be sent to us digitally.  How you do this will depend on the size of files.  Emailing them over is fine if they are relatively small (in the tens of megabytes).  Any larger and you may want to think of using a data transfer service like WeTransfer or pop them on an external hard drive and drop them into our office.

The bigger the files are, the more we can do with them.  A small version of your logo is fine for your email signature but when it comes to your website, the bigger the better.  Stretching small images to make them larger will mean they look pixelated and bad quality, and we avoid this at all costs.

Most people have a decent camera phone these days, but very few people are decent photographers.  And poor photography can be another downfall of a website.  We offer a Photography package where we’ll have a professional photographer come to you premise and give you hundreds of top quality images.

If you don’t fancy going down the professional photoshoot road then stock imagery could be an option for you.  Websites like iStock, Shutterstock and Photodune offer a service where you can buy stock imagery ready to be used in your website.  But having lots stock can be pricey and will mean relying on generic photographs rather than bespoke images you’d get with a photoshoot.

Miscellaneous

Video

Video is fast becoming the most important medium for getting across information on the internet.  The average Facebook feed now contains more video than anything else.  So you’ll definitely want to feature your videos in your website.

Uploading a video directly to your website would take up lots of server space and bandwidth, which isn’t a good idea.  Embedding a video directly from where it sits, websites like YouTube or Vimeo, is a much better way of doing it and also means you can keep track of your views.

If your videos are featured on one of the more popular channels like the ones mention above, then all we need is the link and we can do the rest ensuring it plays nicely on your website.  If your videos have been uploaded to some of the obscure video services then we’ll need an embed code.

Tantrwm are the video experts, so feel free to consult us if you are thinking of developing video content for your business.

PDFs

If you have any larger scale documents like brochures or AGM agendas, then the best way to display these is as a PDF.  PDF’s are universal and can be opened with free software on any device.

We’d recommend you PDF documents like Microsoft Word, Publisher or Excel docs.  These files are designed to be opened with with expensive MS software, which could be a barrier for some users.  If you struggle with this then we can PDF most documents for you.

We’ll need all documents sent to us digitally along with clear instructions of where and how you would like them presented.

Maps & Social Media Feeds

We can easily display a Google map for any location, all we’d need is the address details.  We can also feed in content directly from your social media accounts such as Facebook or Twitter.  Here’s more about this in our Social Media, Security & Analytics package.

Other Things

That’s covers the bulk of the types of content the average website wants to display.  But there may well be other things you want people to access on your site.  Let us know what it is and we’ll see if we can accommodate you.

If your website requires more than the 15 pages available with this package then get in touch and we’ll give you a price.
