Rehearsal

Practice makes perfect, and when it comes to acting and performance, never a truer word has been spoken!

The importance of rehearsals may appear to be obvious but should not be looked at as formality to tick off the check list. Making sure your talent understands and remembers their lines, ensuring they are clear in terms of tone, emotion and timing is critical as this will all contribute to an efficient shoot being carried out. If the message you want to give in your film is unclear to the actors conveying your vision then this could cause more time needed for additional shoots and can mean going over budget. Therefore, Tantrwm see this stage of the film making process extremely important so that you, as the client, get what you’ve asked, and agreed to pay for.

A typical rehearsal session consists of a half day meeting with all key actors present; reading the full script with direction from the creative director and writer. We welcome clients to attend these sessions also, however it is not a requirement. If you are happy with what we intend to film, like many of our clients, you can trust us to take things from here on your behalf.

Rehearsal sessions are usually suited best to productions with multiple actors, large scripts and multiple scenes, yet it is entirely up to the client if they would like rehearsals included for a smaller production.
